Share your thoughts is AI will take away jobs

If the current rapid pace of AI research continues or accelerates (it is accelerating), good times for jobs are going to last for only about ~5-6 more years.

When it stops making economic sense, we will be replaced.

Once upon a time
There were group of friends , just completed b tech and got a job in usual tcs/infosys

Most of them got projects in mainframes.

After 2 years market me khabar uda ki legacy will go away .. ya to java learn karo else mba ..

First set of ppl did java ( IT background) and switched the job
Second set of ppl did mba and move to other roles..

Third set of ppl stayed in mainframes

Present scenario- ( After 10 years)

All are doing equally good
Java ppl switched many companies and making good money in India
MBA ppl spent 20 lacs or so for degree and now on similar or less ctc , compare to java ppl

Mainframes guys got onsite and they came back after 5/7 years to India ..
Become a solution architect in mainframes and switched during covid boom - earning equally good at java /mba ppl.
