Trending @Accenture; Shall I join Accenture or ai/ml based startup??
I am 2024 batch passout and was selected for a oncampus placement at Accenture. Now I have cracked a internship from a intern role in a startup majorly working with data science with a stipend of 20k and mostly conversation to full time role in 8 lpa after 6 months.
What should I do between these 2 options??
No discussion, choose AI/ML based startup. In Accenture, there is no guarantee that you can get the project aligned with your interest or you would be on a bench for an infinite period. I got my first project after being on an 8 month bench. Focus on the latest or trending skills. They don't have any trending projects. They only have projects based on SAP. So, I would highly recommend a startup over these service based MNCs.
Some of my senior told me that getting into Accenture helps in making a switch than a startup.. is it really right??
Accenture would be a brand value when you want to switch. But when you get an opportunity to pursue your interest and also 8 LPA after 6 months, you should go for the startup. In Accenture I didn't get the chance to choose my domain or project and I am struggling to get my first project even after 9 months of joining.
Go with the startup, at least you will have loads of work and will learn something while in accenture you will be on bench or in toxic projects
Start up please. Accenture is in a mess right now - may not be right for career and learning.
I strongly suggest to go and work in startup if it is Al/ML. I can tell you in Accenture there are no strong projects in AI/ML so you won't learn much. Here you will be tagged to AI/ML role and they will assign some other work.
Go with a startup. Joining accenture will always make you question your career.
AI/ ML startup. Reason - In Accenture you will be a small fish in big sea. Startup will give your career a big boost.
