Shaadi.com/ Jeevansaathi.com

Are these websites fooling people? Or anyone is getting matches and getting married through these apps. Are there fake profiles as well? And how to protect from scams. Thanks!

I have known one in my close circle. But unfortunately, negative ones are in majority for these 2 websites. I am personally quite skeptical with both. I can endorse matrimony after using it for sometime. Has better verification of profiles, better privacy and recommendations and much better filtering options and overall UI.

Mixed bag. They all try to push paid memberships because you'll rarely find matches in free versions.

Does paid membership get you matches?

I have made profiles on both, and have different experiences. On shaadi.com you need to get paid membership to chat someone, only u can do is search, send connect req and see their profile pics with free version. you can only chat if the person who sent you request have a membership. I'll share my data to give you some idea. First of all let me tell u, I have a decent profile, decent family, salary, looks. Looks little bit good than average.
So on shaadi.com I have received total 12 requests in 4 months. 21 got accepted which was sent by me. Total matches - 21+12 = 33

On jeevansathi.com , one plus point is you can chat with free version. So here within 1 month, I have received 7 requests, And 12 got accepted with was sent by me. I sent total 41 request, out of which 19 declined by them.

Well I spent countless thousands of rupees for Many years. No luck on the app. Many people come there for fun. To avoid any scam you have to understand patterns of their profile pics and information written over there. Still some profiles look perfect too.
