Severance pay regarding

Hi,

Has anyone got resigned and still have not got any information on severance pay? Is it depends on the bench period ? Or it depends on HR ? My friend got laid off and told she was in bench for 6 months and will not receive severance pay . Is it true?

I don't think they consider the bench period. Only the years of service matter. I have been force resigned, but yet to know the calculation and the service pay.
