Setting up your coding environment

Not a techie but like to code small things like crawlers or something in pandas, mostly python.

Have installed Conda recently to help with setting up environments which don’t conflict with others projects.

But most of the time I spend in ensuring my environment is right.

Also what’s with upgrading python, I usually upgrade everything as soon as the updates come, now I’ve realised it’s better to use the older version until all other libraries you’re using have adapted to the latest version.

How much time do you guys spend in getting your environment right? Or is it just me who thinks it’s unnecessarily complicated

Thanks to ChatGPT at least to reduce my time in troubleshooting but still it has info only till 2021
