Trending @Cognizant; Serving notice period is mandatory ?

Hi Everyone, When I was on the bench, I tried so hard for 2 months to get the project, but I didn't get any. So I started applying outside the cognizant also. At the end of the bench period I got one project, so I accepted that as my aging was done 50 days. But after accepting the project, I got one opportunity from another company. Which I want to take. But here as I accepted the project, will they release me immediately from the project? Also do I need to serve a notice period of 3 months?

As long as your client id and all are not created, they can release you. You can resign and drop and email to your manager ccing his manager asking for early release. They should be able to proceed as there is no dependency on you.

Are you tagged to the project? If not it will be easy to get early release . Even if you are tagged you have just joined the project. Have a word with your HCM.

Give some family reason or personal reasons to HR and your POC and tell them you need early release. Or else you can do one thing, resign from the cognizant and ask your manager for early release. If you are not strong resource in project they might release you within a month.
