I joined a product organisation from TCS.But I feel very overwhelmed with the work culture.People are working overnight and teams messages are popping up 24/7.Sometimes I need to join the call with the US counterpart at midnight.The expectations are very high without the consideration of a new joinee. Please let me know your thoughts,is it the normal initial transition struggle or is it not normal to work more than 8 hrs?

Midnight calls should be rare, only if you need some help from them for some specific work. Messages after your office hours should be ignored, you can just do a setting in the messaging app which shows you off/away after 8/9 PM. WebEx has such feature, other apps too should have.
If your manager expects and asks you to respond to those messages even after office hours, then it is not normal.

I feel very overwhelmed.I used to work less than 6 hours a day,now it's the double.What to do?Should I resign and look for another opportunity or should I try to adjust with this work culture?
