Skill up and look for a better role.

I have a little over 6 years of experience and what I have realised is that you won’t get the increment that you deserve until you ask for it. In the first 4 years, I used to think that I’ll show my work and will get the deserved increment, but that is never the case. If you don’t ask for it, you’ll always be underpaid. I started asking for what I deserved in 2022, and have almost tripled my comp since then without changing the company or the profile.

Ask for it. If you don’t get it, try to get as much as you can and then switch based on the new comp.
