So, you notify your manager and drop that important email of resignation. Now, when exactly do the discussions regarding the last working day, notice period buy out etc happen?

if you're important for your project, they'll do the discussion. If being unallocated or not so much important in project, nothing will be done and you'll get mail from HR, this date is your last day. ENJOY
