U need to have a separate insurance for your family. Claim settlement gets easy. U don't know what all illness it covers. Some company cover don't cover critical illness. It's better to have a separate cover.

What if you lose a job and some medical emergency arises? Always recommended to have personal health insurance policy for yourself and dependants. Even a 5L policy is better, something better than nothing.
