Sent offer letter to HR for retention. AMA

So TCS HR discussed with me regarding my retention possibilities, and asked for offer letter. Also, told me that she has got recommendations from Business (client) as well for upcoming project. I sent my 12+2.5 LPA offer letter to them.

What should I possibly expect for a 3yoe ?

Don’t stay. A colleague stayed and has been royally screwed. C band in consecutive two years.

Hey! This is not necessarily true. I was also retained 2 years back. There were some reasons for me accepting the retention offer. After retention, I moved from an application support to a data engineering cloud development project and got 2 A bands back to back.
I understand this may be a one off case but please don't generalise scenarios. Thanks!

There are 3 rules to resignation:

  1. Never withdraw
  2. Never withdraw
  3. Never withdraw

Withdrawal = Sufferings for years to come

I can relate why my colleagues were pointing out the same.

For 3 YOE even 12+2.5 seems less. Don't stay in TCS, they're worst. I switched in 3 years and got 11.36 to 26 LPA
