Selective/Fake outrage: Is this limited to the upper middle class?

you must have noticed people speaking against anything big/small issue that happens in the west but rarely say anything about issues in their own country.

are they afraid of the government?

you won't see any celebrity or famous person saying anything in support of farmers protest or manipur violence or any other oppression faced by people.

what do you think is the reason behind this mentality?

I believe bcoz we guys are cowards. We don't have a spine. We won't stand behind these people when they talk against oppression, we don't support them when they are going against majority sentiments to highlight issues.

We always think, it's not our fight! And you know the saying, tomorrow, someone will come for us, but no one would be there to stand with us

It's all business. Biggest amount of funding of cricket comes from the west so they've got to prioritize western agenda. Most of the big startups that you see getting listed on jerseys are actually funded by foreign investors in majority. As Indian wealth starts to fund more businesses in India, we'll see the narrative shift to Indian issues (unless the wealth owners themselves are westernised and want to prioritize west issues).

I consider employees with high salaries as the upper middle class. They are rich but don't have the power of the business owners, afterall they are employees

Their ego doesn't allow them mingle with other working class people and the rich don't let them into their exclusive clubs. So to impress the rich these people indulge in these mindless outrage.

If corporate life is seen a modern day slave farming, then these upper middle class people are the house slaves. The dress like the slave owners, punish the field slaves more than the slave owners themselves. They serve them with sincerity thinking one day they can become like them. That one day will never come.

Pehle Islamic invaders ke saamne jhuke, fir Angrezon ke saamne jhuke, fir INC ke saamne aur ab lagta hai 20-30 saal BJP ke saamne. Hum logon ko ghutne tekne ki aadat hai.

“Are they afraid of the government?”

Brother the home ministers son is for some reason the head of BCCI. The government knows what and how to control, and have ensured they controlled the most popular sportspeople of the country long back.

These cricketers are spineless and will do anything junior Shah says to retain their spots in the team.

Why do people hate rich and successful people

I’ve seen posts and memes all over social media on the recent titanic sub disaster. I realised anytime someone rich and successful is going through something bad everyone likes to laugh at it or they seem to celebrate it.

Why do Indians hate India?

Whenever I read foreign media outlets, India is the new Asian Tiger that will outpace most emerging economies in growth. But Indian media and Indian people act like India is the worst place to be.

The dichotomy is extremely confusing....
