Seeking insights regarding employment prospective for an IT individual with 4+ years of exp. and unemployed for about 10 months now

Hello Viewers,

Hope you all are doing well.

I would like to take the opportunity to know about how an individual with 4+ years of experience in the Indian IT industry (having worked as a Software Developer with Java Microservices) would be viewed / judged in the present job market, how would the same individual stand out given that the same has been unemployed for about 10 months now due to serious family health conditions for the most part and getting into the idle zone for a longer than the conventional expected time period which could be not more than 2 months. Please shed some light on what would be the fate of the individual with respect to the chances of getting hired as a Developer with packages ranging from INR 15 to 25 LPA.

Breaks don't matter so much. It depends more on the situation in the job market.

In a booming job market, it would not be very difficult to find a job again.

But right now, the IT job market is tough due to mass layoffs, so in current situation, it might be harder to find a job soon.

So try applying to various companies. You can get a feel first-hand for how tough the job market currently is.

Thanks a lot @Cenobite_Hellraiser for sharing your insights. While it is good to know that breaks do not matter much, the situation of the IT job market is a tough one to tackle. Let's hope for the greater good.
