Seeking Information on Compensation Restructuring Policy Document

I’ve been noticing a few posts about the Compensation Restructuring Policy document being removed from the HR Policy Hub.

I’m not familiar with this document, so I’m trying to understand:

  • What exactly was covered in this policy?
  • What kind of changes or guidelines did it include?
  • And why is it being removed now?

If anyone has clarity or has gone through it earlier, please share your insights.

  1. PF Capping Basic ≥ ₹15,000/month → PF = 12% of Basic (full) Basic < ₹15,000/month → PF based on applicable wages or statutory ceiling, whichever applies

  2. Gratuity Removed from CTC
Previously shown in CTC breakup — now excluded TCS frames it as "not immediately payable" — but reality: your visible CTC looks lower Gratuity eligibility: 4 years + 190 days continuous service (not 5 years) Max ceiling: ₹20,00,000

  3. Two Types of Letters Issued
Restructured Letter = CTC restructured + Annual Increment (hike eligible) Restructuring Letter = Only CTC restructured, NO hike, no change in overall CTC

  4. BoB → Flexi Allowance Components merged into Flexi: HRA, Food Card, Communication Allowance, NPS, Superannuation, Conveyance Components discontinued: LTA, Vehicle Maintenance, Car Allowance, Fuel Allowance, Personal Allowance

  5. LTA Discontinued Reason given: "no tax benefit in New Tax Regime" But if you're on Old Tax Regime, you lose a legitimate exemption — TCS benefits, you lose

  6. Flexi Allowance Breakup Not Visible Yet Global ESS will show it only by end of May 2026
