Hello folks, with the exciting long weekend ahead, I hope you have all made plans for it. As a consultant, I'm always busy with clients, and the recent poor market conditions have increased the workload and pressure on my team. Consequently, I haven't taken any leave in the last six months. Now, I'm considering a trip to Rishikesh (as they say, Dilli wale either go to Rishikesh or Manali 😅). Can you please help me with a good excuse to request Monday's leave from my manager without much discussion? I'm open to any realistic, unrealistic, clever, or humorous suggestions. Just say you're going to be OOO on Monday. Don't feel guilty. You are owed leaves. You have earned leaves. And you should use it.
Ask your manager to throw a party on Friday night. Upto you if want to drink or not.
On Saturday morning, somehow let your manager know that you are not well and it might be because of the party.
On Sunday morning, he should get to know your health has deteriorated.
Hopefully, he calls you and asks you to take a sick leave for Monday.
