seeking guidance from software devs

I come from non tech background from tier 1 institute, around 2.5 years of exp building saas products in early stage startups. Didn’t put much efforts in building my development skills, but used to contribute as much as i can.

Recently after acquisition(increased project scopes) and giving few interviews i came to the realisation that i know very little, lack fundamentals(os, dbms, networking, etc) and cant design and implement things quickly.

i am ok at dsa, have built a bit of restful api’s, built agentic systems using crewai, have some exposure to helm and kubernetes, aws, react, OSS tools. But i have very surface level knowledge about everything and lack depth.

My main aim is to switch my current role, but on a day to day basis i have been developing things fully using AI which makes me feel very little bout myself. In longer run i do want to improve my development skills as well which can enable me perform good in my day to day basis.

I have searched online about what all i need to learn but i cant decide where to start - go right to the basics or focus on prep related to switch (system design, dsa). I get overwhelmed and cant decide or conclude the approach.

Devs out there, please suggest or help me in any way possible caus its eating me alive from within. Am losing sense of purpose and even considering if i am even interested or made for this domain 🫣
