Seeking for an advice

Hi Everyone,

I’m seeking advice and guidance regarding my current situation. I recently cleared multiple interview rounds at Capgemini. I have 5.6 years of experience in ETL testing. Aside from this, I had short-term roles in two core (non-IT) industries earlier in my career. These were not IT-related positions, and I do not have experience letters for them. As such, I didn’t include them in my IT experience or on my resume.

However, the HR representative is now insisting on experience letters for those non-IT roles. She mentioned that without them, my candidature will not proceed further. I’m unsure why these roles are being considered, especially when they were never part of my resume or claimed as relevant experience.

I’m currently employed at Accenture, and they successfully completed my background verification (BGV) and moved ahead with my hiring without raising this issue. I even requested the Capgemini HR to proceed with the BGV, and if it fails, I’m fine with the outcome. Her response was, “You will clear BGV, but I will not onboard you unless you provide experience letters for the non-IT roles.”

This has left me confused. Why are they requesting documents for jobs I didn’t even include or present as part of my IT career? What should be my next step? Should I continue trying to justify my position, or is there a formal way to handle this?

Any guidance or suggestions on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I don’t have those documents. Will they consider my candidature?

Your PF may be generated for those time periods when you worked as non-IT roles. That's the reason HR is asking for experience.
