Hi everyone, I’m currently at a crossroads in my career and would really appreciate some guidance from experienced professionals here.

It’s been 1 year and 7 month I have trained in SAP Hybris Commerce, but my exposure has been mostly limited due to minimal development work in my current role since the development was done by client side . Since there has been little to no active development for more than 6 months , I’ve been supporting testing activities from a developer’s perspective. Recently, there have been discussions about moving me into a QA-focused role for another project and being in this project at first 6 months they didn’t assign any task or work next 6 months worked on supporting testing now the project is getting shut down but they(Manager)are referring to other project as QA role and which is long term that too only manual testing did talk to him but he is not agreeing, which has added to my confusion about the right career direction.

Because of this, I’m finding it difficult to confidently switch companies or position myself strongly in the current job market.

I’m also considering whether upskilling further in Hybris with hands-on projects or switching to another SAP stream like SAP ABAP would be a better long-term option, considering demand, growth, and career stability.

I would truly appreciate guidance on: • Whether to continue and deepen my skills in SAP Hybris with hands-on development • Whether moving into a QA role makes sense at this stage • Or whether pivoting to another SAP technology would be a wiser choice
