Seeking Advice: Stay for Promotion or Move for Better Tech Stack?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been part of a support project for the past 3.5 years. Recently, I requested either a promotion or a release from the current project. My manager is now considering me for a C2 promotion, but with a condition — I must stay in the same project for another 2 years.

Alternatively, I can opt for a release and look for another project that offers better exposure to in-demand technologies.

I’m confused about which path would be better for my career growth. Should I stay for the title and stability, or switch for better technical learning and long-term opportunities?
