Seeking Advice: Resigned from My Current Job and Now Looking for a Switch - Thoughts on the Job Market?

Hello everyone,

I recently resigned from my current position as my salary was not aligned with my skills and experience. I've been working in AWS, DevOps, and Kubernetes for the past 3 years, but the company I was with had a 90-day notice period, and I was significantly underpaid. I couldn’t bring myself to negotiate for an increment because, honestly, I was way below industry standards.

Now, it’s been 10 days since my resignation, and I’ve updated my profile on Naukri with my last working day as a reference. However, since I still have 80 days left in my notice period, I’m wondering if I’m doing the right thing. I’ve barely received any calls so far, and I’m starting to feel anxious.

My main concern is not wanting to work on a contract basis as I’m the only breadwinner in my family, and I can't afford the risk of constantly switching roles with uncertain contracts. At the moment, I don’t have a solid backup plan, so I’m really just hoping for the best. I was feeling quite burnt out in my previous job, and it didn’t match my current salary expectations or career aspirations.

Given my 3 years of experience in DevOps, what’s the current job market like? I expect to have about 50-60 days of notice left after the 20-30 days. When do you think I should start receiving more calls, and will I have an upper hand in the market? Also, am I making the right decision by quitting, or is this a risky move?

Would appreciate any insights or advice from others who have gone through a similar experience or have insights into the current job trends in DevOps.

Thanks in advance!
