Seeking Advice on Job Switch from Deloitte USI to PWC AC

Hi all,

I hope you're doing well. I'm looking for recommendations regarding a potential job change.

I am a consultant with 4.5 years of experience, having spent nearly three years at Deloitte USI. I recently received a verbal offer from PWC AC and am evaluating my options.

Current vs. Offered Compensation:

Current (Deloitte USI): 15.75L fixed + 10% variable (Total: ₹17.3L)

Offered (PWC AC): 19L fixed + 0-20% variable

Questions:

  1. Deloitte USI offers various monetary benefits (well-being allowance, certification vouchers, etc.). Does PWC AC provide similar perks?

  2. Deloitte USI disburses annual bonus and hikes on May 31. If I resign in early April, is there a chance Deloitte might release me early, impacting my variable pay?

  3. How does the culture and work environment at PWC AC compare to Deloitte USI?

Would appreciate any insights. Thanks for your time!

Offered CTC is kind of lowballing, why would you even consider switching for bare minimum 20% hike?

If you actually start job hunting you may end up with 22-25 fixed (if your tech and job profile is good)

Q1 - Deloitte is best, we do get cert vouchers but no well being allw. etc Q2 - PwC won't pay bonus if resigned before Sept end, bonus pay out date (check same for Deloitte and early release, if loosing var pay than 20% hike becomes negligible) Q3 - don't know, what I have heard is all Big 4s have similar culture

I started job search recently and my tech stack is Salesforce development. Very few companies are hiring so not getting much interview calls. I am also not satisfied with the compensation offered. Let's see.

Nah bruv no PwC they low ball like crazy. And they usually also tend to put you on hold after confirming that you have resigned. They did that to me twice 🤣 bunch of sissy pants.

But why? you are just getting a 20% hike it seems that much of a hike you can expect in Deloitte only if the performance is good.

Answer to your 1st question - no big 4 offers that much of monetary benefits. Not sure on question 2&3

  1. All allowances are cut, all you get is Salary and reward points. Certification Vouchers or Reimbursement is possible.
  2. Could be or could not be. In my case I was provided bonus in my notice period at Deloitte.
  3. Work environment is similar to Deloitte. Culture wise you will observe less school treatment type behaviour like u have it in Deloitte. Everyone is PwC AC is generally new ( max exp 4 yrs ) so as such you won't see any consistent "culture". It's mostly dependent on your team. However US side folks are generally nice and tenured people.
