Seeking Advice: Notice Period Challenges and Career Growth Concerns

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working at Infosys for the past 3.7 years and have gained solid experience in my domain. However, I’m currently facing a few challenges and would really appreciate some guidance from this community.

  • My current CTC is 4.5 LPA, and despite my experience and consistent performance, I haven’t been promoted to the TA role.
  • Additionally, I'm finding it difficult to switch jobs because of the 3-month notice period. Many opportunities reject my profile solely due to this.
  • I’m currently aligned to a project, but I’m considering requesting my manager to reduce my notice period to 1 month.

Has anyone successfully done this? Any suggestions on how to approach the conversation?

I'm open to new opportunities where I can grow and be fairly compensated for my experience. Any advice or referrals would mean a lot.

Thank you in advance!

Apply for interviews at companies you don't intend to join, saying 1 month notice. Clear interviews and see how you fare.
If you're confident of getting other offers, then put in your papers, and clear interviews. You can always put in a request at your new place about delays, but commit strongly to them.

You're young, and hence cheap. Hirers who can wait, will wait. You can always find jobs in your career stage.
