I have been looking for flats for about 2 months now, finally found a decent, affordable place. . In my search for a place in my preferred area, I could not find one place with a per person rent of 15k-20k, esp in a gated society and what is not shady. And then began the search for flatmates These new people get back to me saying they are interested and have been looking for a place for months but are expecting a rent so low that they back off. How do you explain to these people that real estate prices HAVE shot up and are not coming back down? HOW?
There's some real frustration I have developed here, not only because of the high real estate prices, but also because of how people here keep waiting, passing up good places in the hope for cheap but good places when clearly that's not going to happen.
