Excessive Engg. college lead to a glut of such extend that today you can buy a college for a the cost of a farm house in alibaug. These schools will cause thier own downfall. Its only a matter of time, people turn to home schooling with tuitions.

Have you planned investments well so that your children can study in a reasonably quality private schools/colleges in metro cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangluru? The education inflation in India is around 8%.

There are quality govt school, for eg :- Kendriya vidyalaya, they have pretty good school (few of them might be bad )...
