SAP Basis career

Hi Grapevine's

How was the SAP basis administration for a career? 2.6 years I have been working on an SAP basis or should I change the domain?

SAP Basis is stable, but growth can be limited long-term. Since you're considering a change, the data field (analytics/ML) offers better opportunities - it's growing fast with higher pay and remote options. Your SAP experience actually gives you a useful edge in data roles for ERP systems.

Start by adding Python/SQL skills through free resources (Kaggle, YouTube). Then pursue certifications like Google Data Analytics or Microsoft's DP-900. The key is consistent, small-step learning rather than rushing.
