Salary rough estimate
Hi folks, wanted to know the formula for the general range of salary based on YOE one has.
Currently I'm working as an Android developer. From what I've heard it should be 2xYOE which is safe as higher would effect job security.
Do let me know your take on this. Thanks!
The top down view : Salary is based on how much value you can provide, and how much the market is willing to pay for you due to the importance and scarcity of your skillset.
And sometimes more WLB means lesser salary as they'll have ppl willing to work for less, for peace of mind.
The bottom up view :
Don't go by 2x, etc.
Do a scientific search on Glassdoor, etc. and find out what others make based on business domain, client/vendor side, location, and even freelancing. Who knows, you can get a mid career job and ace it on the weekends.
