Trending @Infosys; salary revision for location change

When getting an offer from Infosys I was informed that depending on my location, my salary would change slightly. I chose my hometown and thus not a slightly lower salary. Due to family circumstances, I would need to transfer to another location which has a much higher cost of living.

My project is not location dependent and people from all locations are lart of the project. I am free to work from any DC. Also I have noticed that 2-3 people in my project with base location in my hometown actually live and work from bangalore or chennai (not sure how that works).

Are we eligible to get a salary revision if I request my manager for transfer to another location? How does it work
