I used to receive it on the second last or last day of the month when I worked in stable companies. Current company hasn't been paying on time at all. The worst was the 12th of the next month. Multiple EMI bounced and my cibil score is probably f**ked now

Probably generate some emergency fund for 3-6 months by keeping atleast 20-30 percent of salary aside as soon as you get it .Living on emi to emi is not a good thing

Yes at least for me Sometimes 30, sometimes 1st and sometimes between 1-7

I never understood why they give between 1-7 is it like they have not received payment from clients?

Probably earning money from interest or something

No, not common. The general practice is to pay salary on last working day of the month, some may give it by last day of the month. And in one of my previous organisations, it was 25th of the month, 5 days prior to month end, and that used to become 24 or 23, if 25th was a holiday.

We receive on 22nd of current month.

We always receive at last working day of the month.

From what I know, Indian law states that salary must be credited before the 10th of the following month.

It takes time to get payment from the clients, invoices are raised end of the month then the invoice is approved and then swift transfer, a minimum of a week.
