What do you think about 16 LPA for someone who is barely 25 and has 1.5 years experience
Kyu kam lag raha hai 16lpa? Bandook de dein bhai tumko? Le aao fir bank se jitna tumko theek lage.

Imo it’s all about how much you’ve seen personally. I personally know folks who are <25 and earn 22-24L base pay in their roles for about 1YOE. Hence to me, this is an average offer. If you wouldn’t know these folks, 16 would seem high. :)

There’ll always be a bigger fish in the ocean, at one point you’ve gotta stop comparing yourself with others and see what works out for you. Everyone has a different roadmap. I’ve seen freshers earning 30-40lpa and also seen 10yoe folks barely making 20lpa. Both parties were satisfied with their situation so it’s all good.
Bro i can understand how you feel. I've also been placed with a similar compensation and look at my friends with whom I've lived in the hostel for 4 years who are exactly at the same skill level get paid 30-60 lpa. Ik our compensation isn't bad either but that jealousy comes back to bite me now and then
Yes, you are right. People say don't compare but it's human nature to compare.

If you are from tier 1 institute definitely it's below average.
If tier 2 - Okayish
If tier 3 - Good

It’s less if you’re hiring for a quant trading hedge fund. It’s more if you’re hiring for a call centre
