so, i have some info on this. Tier 1 VC(Sequoia, Accel and Lightspeed) pay a lot. Think 40+ fixed, with some earning 60ish for associate. Others pay more modestly between 25-45 types.

though if you have CFA + Operator experience, you can go for late stage funds too. Think B capital, comp it would be even higher, though very few of those would have offices in India. Mostly in singapore. But might be worth a try. Money is not an issue for VC industry, its just a closely guarded industry with very high entry barrier for good roles.

What would the bonus look like? When does carry come into the picture?

Good funds could pay you 50+. Also, perks, travel, stay etc are much better than any start-up

You should make 40+ at a top fund. At mid size finds you could make 25-30 and it goes down from there
