Trending @Infosys; Salary of recently promoted jl5 with 5 years exp is more than who promoted 6 months back with 6 years exp both started as freshers in infy?
Can happen!! He got better ratings in years where there were good hikes. Also could have started a bit higher for same role as after every few years they increase fresher salary. Or he negotiated a better hike in any of the past years
How can I put this before management ?
Hope you understand this is reality of most organisations . There are lead consultants in infosys who get more than some of the delivery managers!!! There people at higher level with lower experience managing people with high experience at lower level. It’s a combination of luck, your skill set, market demand for your skill set, your unit, your performance over the years, perceptions of your performance. If number of years is the only criteria there are atleast 500 people currently infosys who should be the CEO!!
What salary hike can we expect promoting from JL5?
