Hi all I’m about to join a new company cleared all the rounds and the hiring manager said expect the good news to come from the HR this week and hence I need some guidance on how to start off with negotiating salary if it comes to that stage where I’m being low balled.

In my experience it’s difficult to negotiate without a competing offer. I watched a ton of salary negotiation videos and took notes, but all those tactics went down the drain in the live phone call with the recruiter
