Will HCL revise salary on counter offers ?
I have an offer letter from HCL, and I have only 8 days left to join them.
I also have another offer from a mid-level company offering 3 lakhs more. Can I show this offer to HCL and ask them to match it?"
Can I negotiate the salary again with HCL HR before accepting the offer letter because in the HR round they offered me the less package as compared to my experience and also what are the chances of increasing the package up to the expected package. Currently I am not having any counter offer. Is there any chance that HR will take into consideration and will increase the package and regenerate the offer ? What is the best approach for negotiation with HR - through mail or through Phone. Looking forward for replies from HCL guys
Seems like your first switch man...
I am in the same boat and have gone through a similar situation....
This is not the right time to negotiate... You want a job, they are providing it to you, so that you can put your papers without any hesitation. No one waits for 90 days!
What you need to do?
At the end, brother its negotiating power, right now negotiating powers are with HCL they will straight away reject you... In last 2 weeks you have power
Don't even over think,
Get it tattooed in your brain permanently..
Corporate is not going to feed your family.
If hcl gets in trouble they won't give a second thought before firing you...
Don't be considerate about them! Its ok to be selfish.
Closing by my gyanchodi, no one asked for - "HR's are good for nothing shitty pieces of morons in the corporate, soon or later these idiots will be replaced by AI"
But the problem is that they are offering very less salary package as compared to my experience. In the market the salary range is more for 5+ years experience as compared with HCL offered salary. HCL offering less salary range.
You can definately put your expectaion ... HCL HR will try to negotiate .. i dropped HCL offer 2 times when they were offering very less salary. HCL dont give good annual hikes. So calculate that. Consider everything travel time , travel expense. If they are giving at least 30 % hike than its ok to accept but if around 10, 15% then not worth it. Also keep your notice period in your mind if you confident that you can crack 1 more interview as nowdays compnies hire as per availablity immediate joiner in that case you can accept the offer after negotiation. But tell your expected salary to HR confidently.
Ok. So what is the best approach for negotiation with HR. Should I contact them via mail or phone, but what I have faced during interview rounds is that HR doesn't pick up the call.
When you will join they will not respond on teams as well, that's how they work. If they released the offer letter, it policy they will explain you each component in yor compensation letter , if they confirmed your candidature they will pick up your call. Only discuss this on call and dont show that you are desprate to join. Just call HR and ask them about your fair ask. You will get your answer immediately.

Don't share payslips yet if possible. Do it after finalising your offer details. What information have you share...
