Salary negotiation
At a senior role (VP) in a services consulting firm. Firm made revenue of around 10-15 CR. Currently earning 45 LPA fixed + 5 variable after 8 years work ex. What's the kind of hikes which are standard in services based business? I expect a 20% hike year on year of I perform well. Is it too much to ask or too less. Basically want to understand how salary grows once you are in more senior roles in a typical services firm.

20% every year seems a bit stretched imo. But if it is target/'revenue earned by you' based then possible.

Bhai, you're set for success! Senior roles bring greater rewards. Jaisa desh, waisa bhesh, expect 10-15% hike typically. But, push boundaries, ask more, prove worth. Sky's the limit!

Congratulations on reaching senior VP in 8 years

In consulting firms, once you move up the ladder you are responsible for business development. If you are good at BD, sales and networking then sky is the limit. A senior role usually have huge variable component (can be 1x to 3x of fixed).
