Salary for Head of Engineering

I have been offered a head of engineering post in India for a US based startup. What are the current salary levels for this post in Bengaluru. I have 20 yrs experience. Company is at seed level of funding. Also what are the general stock options given to Head of engineering in India

You should start with their growth plans viz headcount in 1 to 2 years. IME HOE is just a fancy title for A-Z if they are just starting. I would generally stay out of such opportunities as it takes lots of effort in this market to get good returns.
