Trending @Infosys; Salary Fairness
Hi, Just want to know whether my salary is fair as per my education. I am at JL4B. Joined through campus placement post MBA from a tier- II college, with around 2.5 years of work-ex. Current Salary is 8.5 lpa. Need your suggestions on the salary part and what should I do.

I am not aware of MBA salaries, I am an engineer with 3 years experience when I joined infosys in October. My CTC is 13.7LPA including variable and my JL is also 4B

Compared to other job sectors, this salary is less. But compared to IT MBA salary for tier2, this is pretty normal. Even i started with 8.5LPA post MBA with 0 years of prior exp. In 3 years now I am at 13 in Infy.

Thanks. My only concern is considering the no of years of work ex and the appraisal cycle in Infosys, there will be gap in my ctc

At Infosys financial growth will be less. The more you stay, the more you will be lagged. Since infosys is your first company, I would suggest stick around till you have e years experience. Start preparing for interviews now and focus on switching. Depending on where you go next you can jump from 8.5 to 15 or even 20Lpa. Key is to keep jumping evert 2 years for both financial and career growth

Life is not fair. Depends on your definition of TIer 2 MBA . Last when i checked placements reports of tier 2 MBA college the average was well over 20L. So if you are from actual tier 2 you are way low. I call tier 1 as IIM Abcl, XLRI, FMS, ISB, JBIMS, NITIE to name a few. But as you see below the tables have changed MBA salaries growth are not at par with IT Dev salaries from good colleges. A fresher BTECh who joins as DSE will get more than 8L at infosys. So being an MBA from tier ‘X’ college doesn’t give you an edge. But you can get the right experience and gain the edge and join GCCs , EY/Delloutes etc who will value your domain knowledge and pay you more .

What is the salary range for technology lead jl 5 ?
