Coming from CS engg. background with work-ex in 6 companies across fintech, travel, hospitality, SaaS and aviation industry.

OP cannot force the product team to forcefully build new products or features, just because they want to stay longer and design. 😂

9 years - 6 firms: big red flag. Hardly can accomplish anything in 1.5 years on average.
I happened to hire my own head of design and got a chance to view their current and past compensation. As per those this pole is highly incorrect. They received around 35 LPA and new compensation around 40-50 ~ish. A 10+ year career, an engineer turned designer, masters from US and stints in HP, Adobe and 2 famous Indian startups.
