Trending @Cognizant; Salary concerns in CTS

I have 6+ years of experience, (Associate sine June 2021), in December 2024 it will be 7 years. My current CTC is 11.6 L (after August hike, includes 19.5k Insurance, 45k Variable). Also, I am working from home and my management allows that for me.

I was hoping for hike (approx 15%) in April, but when we get email saying hike will be effective August, I reached out to my Manager and asked to either promote me to SA (my last 3 ratings are - 5, 4, 5) or give me an onsite opportunity. End of May we had an in person meeting and they informed that there is no onsite in my team as of now but in case we have any opportunities in any team we will recommend your name, for promotion they said you have good ratings and when there is a bucket for promotion your name will be there by default. But don't know when it will be

After that meeting I did not heard anything from any of my senior management.

By any chance if I get promoted to SA by end of this year, how much salary I can expect?

Do you suggest to switch or wait for an opportunity in CTS?

Killing me - My friends who switched from CTS are currently having 18 - 24 LPA with same level of experience.

My younger brother having 2.5 years experience has 12.5 LPA, work location Bangalore (wfo). I am very happy for him but I am sad inside thinking my own package.

Hey Hi

I Am also Associate with 6+ years of experience- waiting for SA promotion
but you will be surprised after knowing my salary its 7.96 including all😪 how come you have a different CTC did you resigned and retained ? I joined as a PAT with 3.26 CTC

Due to some personal dependencies i cant switch to a different company but I do feel the same pain after seeing all these things

Feb 2022, when my younger brother got his first job he got a package of 7.5 LPA. At the time I was having 6.9 LPA, he recommended me to switch. I gave interview and got selected in a Company in mid March with 10 LPA.

I resigned and got retained on 9 LPA, I agreed as I have an opportunity of WFM

ohh ok to my friends who retained with 10 Lpa and 11.5 LPA last year they normalised to 14 LPA when they got promoted to SA so you might also get the same if they give similar increment but based on the merit we got this year i dont know what we can expect!!

1 suggestion. From my experimace a stay at any company should be purely based on happiness. If you are happy and you are able to keep your family happy then stay. In case there is a concern of either low pay, toxin culture. Demotivating, no growth, don't wait . Prepare and switch. NO ONE WILL GIVE YOU YOUR HAPPINESS IN A PLATTER. IT REQUIRES EFFORTS.

I would say you should switch now. Get a good hike and also a higher designation. Waiting here now is going to be beneficial unless you already have higher salary. With inflation so high, you need to get more money in hand to sustain.

Better to switch… even if you get SA, will get only 10% hike. That too not immediately, it will take time

Better to switch ...

May 2021 my CTC was 9.5 , June 2021 it was 14.5 , Dec 2022 it was 21 , Sep 2023 (CTS) it is 28 LPA

All because of Switch

To reach high salary packages you need to switch. Even if promoted 30% hike max and not more

I can relate to you, because i am in this same situation right now, from last 6 months i am poling my manager for promotion, but the same answer i got is we dont have slots in this quarter. Now i am frusted and i am looking out for oppertunities.
Its toxic environment here in cognizant where managers dont bother and management dont care at all. No one wants you to grow other than yourself so go for it, move out.

Cognizant is doomed. Find a job outside ASAP.

I would say such switch asap. The job market is picking up and the big players are leading the wave. Keep a lookout, make your CV visible on every job platform and try to upskill based on your bandwith.
Cognizant is becoming a joke in the industry and we shouldn't stay to become the butt of the joke.
