I am an Associate Data Scientist and I have 3yrs 10 months of experience. My current CTC is 9.5 LPA. I am looking to switch jobs, can you tell me how much can I mention as expected CTC while applying
What's your educational qualification? What are the language you know? Your salary looks really low for a good data scientist, I mean if you actually do any data science. Now a days, everything is data science - even logistic regression is data science.
What according to you is data science? (If it's not logistic regression)
Understand business problem with domain knowledge, convert problem to statistical problem, solve it using logistic regression or whatever model that's suitable, convert back the solution to business language. To know what model is suitable, one should be aware of their model assumption, not just how-to-code-using-python. Many so called data scientists have no idea of the first and last step which are the two most critical steps. This salary for data scientist is pretty low if they have good skills.
