Salary and job change

I was tryna... looking out for a job .. after an eternity..I got a call from a big company... They never bothered about my skill but straight on ma face they asked about my current and expected CTC... As per industrial standards my CTC should be around 25LPA MINIMUM but I earn around 7LPA... When I said this the HR was like don't you think it's too much to ask for? I said just because my ex company is paying me low, my future has to be calculated on the basis of my past. HR was like... We only follow a 30% hike policy. I was broken but had the courage to say NO. I know it is quite hard to find a job but I just think... You are gonna pull my energy as you will pull from someone paid high .. who are you supporting by bargaining with a poor employee?? You need a million dollar worth object at the price of a few hundreds but quality is a must?
