This logic works only when you are an employee. When you are an independent professional or a businessman, The opposite works better. People always prefer to be in the company for other successful people. Your opportunities multiply when you showoff your success.
It is always one employee who tries to pull down another employee. A CEO of a company will not try to prove the other CEO is stupid.

@Qwerty2398 agree, and I think it's still a bit weird. A CEO might understand the struggles of another CEO because of experience. But that same logic applies to employees as well. I can understand the jealousy in case of CEO vs employee, but the crab mentality between people of the same category is very weird.
