So I've been courting a woman I like for the past 3 months. Things were going amazing.
We had a serious chat about finances. And a crude topic came up wedding spending - she had a budget of x cr in mind. And I come from a humble background though I can spend money I don't feel it's worth it.
I told her that I can spend anywhere from 30-50 lakhs and that is also a stretch for me.
She was ready to compromise on everything but a wedding. I was ready to give her everything except a dream luxurious wedding. It’s a deadlock. Most likely it is going to be a no. Damn 😔
If she is looking to spend X cr in her wedding, she gonna suck you dry later in life bruv

You didn’t write clearly who she is expecting to spend. But if she is openly telling you to foot the Bill, or to spend 50-50 on her wished crore+ target, then it is clearly an unwise woman you are talking to, OR, may be the financial status is just too different. If the financial gap is just too wide, these things should have been discussed first thing in the talks. Anyway, you know well where is headed, so Good Luck

X Cr for a wedding? Either she's way richer and out of your economic class or she's plain unreasonable and impractical.
Even if you had obliged, this would be a girl who will get and pay whatever she wants and will have a tendency to run into financial troubles. There would be financial decisions on house, vacations, children, her parents etc. Glad you knew it within 3 months. Move on.

Im sorry for you bruv. But don't be sorry for yourself cause spending x cr is literally non-sense. Any person who earns should understand that 2x or 3x of yearly salary is itself huge. If you make atleast 50lpa you shouldn't think of 1cr even though its a one time thing.
