Sabbatical policy and Base Location Change policy
Hey, so I am planning to study MSc. Data Science from Germany. I am planning to take sabbatical during that period. I have my German B1 certificate with me. My question is will TCS change my base location to Germany only or not since I am already there and am familiar with culture language and everything? Or will I have to join back in my base location here in India?
Let’s say I join back in India, what kind of compensation can I expect? And is there a chance I will be getting preference in German Project. Please help.
You will have to join back in your base location in india. Then after that you can try to get into a project which is in Germany. It depends whether they will send u onsite or not.
But yeah you have to come back to India when sabbatical ends.
Imo don't take sabbatical. Just resign if you are going for MS
Don't join back TCS. My friend took MBA and he waited for one yr to restructure his salary. That too after he had put down his papers. Got 100% hike and it was still below 8lpa
If you are taking sabbatical, you should submit everything to TCS. So you will be free from TCS for time duration. Post completion of your course you could re-join TCS. But what I heard is ongoing situations causing issues with sabbatical too. As they are laying off those people and also maternity leave people who came back to the office. As they don't find projects within 35 days.
