Rumors of reorg at gojek
Heard from multiple people that with Patrick taking the position of CEO that there are rumors circulating about an upcoming reorg and cost-cutting measures, with a strong emphasis on achieving positive EBIDTA to satisfy investorss. Some redundant products within the GOTO is likely to be merged and some team shuffling to happen. It is uncertain how much of this information is accurate, and I can't imagine an impact this would have. Silent layoffs, numerous senior leaders leaving and many actively interviewing is just unsettling. Ideally, I would prefer to focus on my work and end the day peacefully, avoiding the stress of layoffs and excessive supervision. I hope that tomorrow's townhall meeting will not be awkward or gloomy.
