
RTO compliance to be considered for grade release .

I have been released from my previous project just before the appraisal which eventually means a " C " band as ler the usual trend and pattern.
But my manager had assured be will do his best to not let me get that but the final decision isn't his decision completely. He said hes closed it on his end in the best possible way which sounded assuring ( NOT A " C " )
But then he again connected with me over the weekend and said that there is a corporate circular released or hr mandate released to higher management asking them to give D rating to a certain percentage of people. He's been fighting for it with higher management.
Has anyone aware of any such communication from corporate related to banding ? ?
So apparently management has decided to do that based on RTO , However RTO was never added as goals for the appraisals but it seems now can be considered for banding irrespective of the IPF .
Any thoughts on this being fair ?

Absolutely agree ... kya karen gandha hai par dandha hai yeh .
Main ek saal se samjha raha tha mere managers ko ki release de do yeh sab policies impact karegi , hours bhi track hoga but they didn't want to that time as it meant extra work for them which was then being done by me nor did they want to given a written exception. Verbally all exceptions were given , go for sometime hours won't be tracked.
The fact being while hiring I was assured will WFH and I said I don't mind working from office but not a particular location which was 3-4 hours travel time , I was assured no we don't have a office in your state and wit won't be that location if it is we will get you a seat nearby or give exception or release you immediately.
After taking the impact on QVA for 2 quarters i followed their suggestion and ensured I was compliant by visiting the nearest branch because going my allocated branch meant 3-4 hours of travel where noone from my team was there at that branch so still work on teams and mobile as my team was in another state or globally placed .
So smart option was atleast save the travel time and go to nearest branch which was also agreed verbally
Now wohi ho raha hai which I feared or warned about a year ago hours are brought Into consideration .
Verbal trust ka dhoka bhaiya .....

Yes there is an HR requirement that every unit needs to give a D rating to some associates (maybe 3-5% of associates will get D).

Even though if it was not added to your goal sheet, it is clearly mentioned on HR policy hub that RTO non compliance will impact your appraisal ratings (you can find HR policy hub on Ultimatix)

Well thanks for confirming about the HR requirement.
I just wanted to get that verified from some other source besides my manager who said he did his best and was kind enough to let me know about this communication even though I am no longer in the project so I don't feel like he deceived me .
Yeah I do recall that bit about RTO compliance impacting the appraisal rating which I assumed IPF and also even promotion consideration and even something about disciplinary actions which is really sad.
That's like an indirect way of making even the experienced people whom the project wasn't willing to release stating either reasons like crucial resource or impact to FTE count all during the year that's passed by now resign themselves and create vacancies for hiring freshers at a fraction of pay in the start of coming year.
An smart exploitation for a year and discard agenda .
Just a way to maintain false image that we don't fire people and are still the top hiring company .

I know this is irrelevant I m fresher they are forcing to do non technical work manipulating they will give tech work but I got 3.96 ipf will be eligible for wings 1 as it's 4+
