
RTO and Performance Bonus in TCS
Just got an email saying the performance bonus/variable pay will be deducted if RTO is not taken seriously.
They have slabs of different percentages for RTO.
- Less than 60% - No performance bonus
- 60% to 75% - 50% performance bonus
- 75% to 85% - 75% performance bonus
- 85% and above - 100% performance bonus

Yes. This has been taken very seriously. Also if your attendance is 85% and above then also C3A and above will not get 100% QVA due to Unit Performance.

As per the reports internally, they are taking this very seriously. I am C3B and I get around 40% bonus every quarter. My attendance is 70% so I think I will get half of that.

I agree. In fact, for unit like BFSI where performance has not been up to the mark, being a C3B and just released from project, I doubt what to expect as variable pay eventhough I am visiting office almost daily.

Is Visiting office fine or else need to maintain any fixed hours like minimum 5hrs or 9 hrs like that....

Let me break it down and simplify this 3 quarters = 12 weeks = 12*5 days = 60 days
Above 85% attendance
Less than 9 days wfh - 100% bonus
75% to 85% attendance
i.e 10-15 days wfh - 75% bonus
60% to 75% attendance
16-24 days wfh - 50% bonus
Less than 60% More than 24 days wfh ₹0 in bonus.
Now you can check how many days you absent in a quarter and based on that what bonus you get. Also Holidays/Leave will be excluded.

What if we get an RTO exception for a few days or take leave .. will it affect the performance bonus?
