RTO

Why are they pressuring RTO way too much , I’m very saturated at this point they want to go every day to go office just for my location to swipe in and out alone , not even allowing WFH for festive days , it’s really taking me 1 1/2 hours to go and work there with no odc , no Internet have to connect with my mobile network and work then return back , work in home again , with this hot summer it’s really making me dizzy and head aches which is making me not to work Post that , instead of this 4 hours why don’t we work additionally in home and provide productivity more ? Will they deduct salary of RTO if it’s not 100% please provide your answer for this . Any solutions how to take care of this and proceed further.

TCS is a brand for job security, they can't spoil their reputation by laying off people, instead of that they are USing RTO to lay off employees.

I truly echo with your sentiments. This is really a concern. Headaches and health issues are real in these summers. Organisation should be flexible until n unless the work is getting done by the employees and Yes they are deducting City allowance from salary.

How was it before Covid. We all were going to office and there was no second thought about travel or health issues then isn't it. Why is everyone fussing about all those now. The company has given 3 years of WFH.. don't think I'm from the senior management or HR. I am also an normal Employee working for TCS having a 2 year old baby who manage to do all the work at home and travel to office in the hot sun everyday and stay they for good 7hrs and come back home.. change your mindset and be optimistic and thankful to what you have. More than this if your still unhappy just switch and see how it is in other companies. What else do you expect to be the solution even if you criticize and post here?

Tcs management are very poor and rigid. They don't have brain to think .. I suggest you to leave this toxic place and enjoy high salary high work life balance in other companies

Initially they will stop city allowance and after that they will hold salary. If u r not going to office it's considered as a leave and later you will be moved to LOP. This is my understanding, correct me if I am wrong

I am saying this as my city allowance was deducted in salary. When I asked, they said you are not coming to office, hence it is deducted. Also one of my friend's salary is on hold. They said it is bcz they are not going to office.

RTO is playing big role in promotions and appraisals. They have now RTO thing to stop appraisal. Now they are saying 5 days and complete 9 hours shift despite odc there or not.

These HRs are good for nothing. As they have to visit office everyday and when they see engineers working from home and chilling. They made sure to disrupt our peace and made us work from home. Yehhh sare mil kar pagal bana rahe __ ke bacche

Could you help us understand who is this "We" and how does "Twitter" help in resolving the issue? I'm genuinely confused as my Manager, to whom I share this RTO issues directly is not able to find a resolution. And this "We" in your statement is confusing me because if you are in one such position where you have subordinates complaining about RTO and you expect them to tag you in twitter ..

You have two options: WFO and take less salary
OR
WFH and take lesser salary
Maybe save on travel plus other expenses if it's significant

Conclusion: Only option is to take less salary.

Just maintain 3 days average. It’s not possible to maintain 5 days without a dedicated ODC.

I'm trying to swipe in and out for three days. But my supervisor demands five days even while mentioning that I don't have seat availability, no reliable internet, etc..

If they are so strict on enforcing RTO why don’t they deduct leaves when we don’t swipe in the office. They are billing the clients even if we WFH.

I’m going through same problem. No internet & ODC. Also It’s freaking hot here so I’m traveling after 5 pm just to swipe in & out & travel back before the dark. You need to take care of yourself. They don’t really care about what we’re going through.
