Here is a scenario I am a lateral hire , under return to work Presently with 2 years of experience in selenium ,rpa and automation in Infosys Joined as JL3 When can I expect a promotion ? Currently I have 5 plus years of experience After the appraisal discussion , my manager said many are in queue , so you should do something extra . 1st year manager told you dont have knowledge in automation . 2nd year -this year I have hands in automation, functional testing , rpa testing and audit of applications . Completed skill tag certifications too . I don’t know how the visibility of work is evaluated here The appraisal totally disappointed me after putting in much efforts . *to do something extra , absolutely manger has not even mentioned what to work on . Appraisal is done by respective leads to the reporting manager. So looking for some suggestions what needs to be done for the next progression ? Generally how many years are required ?
