Robotics Hardware: How do you assess the current industry scenario & future opportunities?

How challenging is it to build something in robotics hardware in today's world. Is it realistic enough to succeed if we start on an idea now?

What do you think future has in store for this? How long do you define that future to be(5yr/10yr?) Are opportunities and feasibility having good time in bed together? Or is feasibility still too difficult to create scalable value?
