Roadmap to Becoming an Android Developer at MAANG Companies
Hey everyone,
I’ve been working as an Android developer and I’m trying to level up my skills with the ultimate goal of joining a MAANG company. I know that the bar is very high, and it’s not just about knowing how to build apps but also about computer science fundamentals, large-scale system design, and strong problem-solving skills.
For those of you who have gone through the process or know someone who has:
• What would a roadmap look like for someone aiming for MAANG as an Android developer? • Which Kotlin/Android-specific skills are a must-have beyond the basics? • How important are data structures, algorithms, and system design in the interview process compared to app development skills? • Are there any particular resources, projects, or courses you’d recommend? • What’s the best way to build a portfolio or showcase projects that stand out to MAANG recruiters?
I’d love to hear your experiences, advice, or even just a realistic breakdown of what it takes to get there.
Thanks in advance!🥂
